Political Analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has told off Attorney General Githu Muigai critics.
The AG on Friday said that there is no room in the constitution for a transitional government should the elections not be held within the 60 days as is stipulated in the constitution.
“There is no room for the creation of any other form of government. Until the day of the swearing-in of a newly elected president, the legitimacy of the government cannot be questioned.”
Muigai said NASA claims of a caretaker government were misguided.
The vocal political analyst has come to the AG’s rescue after his remarks were met with a lot of hostility on Social media.
Mutahi said, ”Githu Muigai is dead right. There will be no Transitional Government. End of discussion! Those who don’t like it can sit on a pin.”
