Charles Owino and Larry Madowo

A live TV show turned into a verbal tiff between host Larry Madowo and guest Police Spokesperson and assistant Inspector General Charles Owino.

Charles Owino lashed at Madowo who took him to task over the mayhem that rocked NASA’S botched Jacaranda rally on Tuesday which was the same day as Uhuru’s fete.

“You are speaking as if you’ve just landed from the moon,we had a very important occasion yesterday and we must respect that.If you want to become an activist its up to to you,its immoral to talk like that and the day this country will break you are much younger than me you will suffer more,” Owino scoffed.

The show on NTV dubbed ‘sidebar’ had other panel members discussing claims that the police  is using excessive force during the NASA’s demos.

Things however took a swift turn when the host directed a question to the assistant inspector general asking him whether police was indeed using excessive force on NASA supporters during the protests.

The discussion came as a result of the killing of two people during NASA’s rally at the Jacaranda grounds which did not take place as planned since the anti riot police had sealed off the grounds.
