The President yesterday appointed the former Attorney General Githu Muigai as the Chairperson of the Council for Legal Education (CLE). This comes about a month after the Professor resigned from the position of the Attorney General and two days after he handed over his position to Justice Paul Kihara.

Professor Githu had previously served in the former Constitution of Kenya Review Commission (now obsolete) and worked as Special Rapporteur at the United Nations. He will take after Professor Wanjala Kulundu- Bitonye who has served as the council Chair since 2006 and finally resigned despite the attempts to remove him from the position
The appointment may not be a shocking phenomena as old people seem to have taken to the governments liking, especially with the recent appointments. As expected the former CS for Labour, Kazungu Kambi and the former Inspector General, David Kimaiyo also got positions in the recent appointment.
