Fuel prices go up in Nairobi in the Energy Regulatory Commission’s (ERC) February review.
Diesel will be retailing at Sh96.96 per litre as the rices go up by Sh2.14, whereas Petrol goes up by Sh1.62 to sell at Sh107.92 and Kerosene price rises by Sh1.97.
ERC’s Director General, Robert Pervel Oimeke says that the changes are due to the high cost of importing petrol, kerosene and diesel starting December 2017 til January 2018.
The new prices, he noted will take effect from February 15 up until March 14, when the commission will review them afresh.
In Mombasa a litre of petrol will sell at Sh104.63 following the latest price review and Sh93.68 for diesel.
Petrol will retail at Sh121.73 a litre in Mandera, while diesel will cost Sh110.77 a litre.
