There are strong indications that the former AP boss, Kinuthia Mbugua is headed to the NYS as the new Director General.
Mbugua who was trounced by Lee Kinyanjui in the Jubilee nominations for the Nakuru gubernatorial seat, is reported to be headed for the NYS as the new boss with key staff fearing his take over of the institution.

The fear stems from the fact that most of the major suppliers of NYS have not been paid for a long period of time while NYS junior officers have also authored complaints which they have had delivered to State House over various grievances.
The suppliers are said to be owed money dating back to December 2015 when Waiguru left the Devolution Ministry docket.

Most suppliers say that they are young people who took bank loans on NYS LPOs and supplied foodstuffs to camps. The debts to the suppliers amounts to KSh.8Billion currently. They have been meeting at the NYS HQs every Tuesday but only those with higher political connections are said to be paid.
