Footballers Kicked Out Of Nasokol School For Poor Academic Performance

Thirty four girls from Nasokol Secondary School in West Pokot were sent parking Tuesday for poor academic performance.

The girls, most of whom are footballers on scholarships were sent home together with their parents by a new principal, who is academic focused.

They spent the night at the Kitale Showground after a good Samaritan helped ferry them there.

Most of the girls were scouted from various schools and offered free learning in the school due to their sporting talent.

But the new head is not keen to continue with her predecessor’s legacy and ordered that the students pay school fees like the rest.

Efforts by the parents to reach a settlement with her fell on deaf ears, leading to their expulsion late Tuesday evening .

It took the efforts of a good Samaritan to get them to safety as they were stranded. He hired two “Matatus” to transport and arrange for their accommodation at the Kitale Showground.
