Another suspected female gangster believed to be friends with slain gangster, Claire Njoki Mwaniki, alias Clea Adi Vybz, was on Sunday shot dead by the police in what was said to be an exchange of fire.

Marsha Minaj, was shot dead together alongside a male suspect on Sunday afternoon at a house in Migingo, in Patanisho area.

Japhet Koome, Nairobi County Police Commander, said police had been looking for the woman and other members of her gang for a long time.

“On Sunday, police received information from the public about the location of the suspect, whom they have been complaining about, for some time,” Mr Koome said.

Mr Koome said the two resisted arrest and instead shot at the police through the door.

“The officers were forced to return fire and they managed to fatally injure the two and recovered a pistol, five rounds of ammunition and three spent cartridges from the suspects,” Mr Koome said.

An automatic pistol was found on the suspects and the bullets are currently being subjected to ballistic examinations to ascertain how it had been used in the past.

Other alleged gangsters have reportedly been killed in Pangani and Tononoka areas in recent past.
