An explosion has been reported at the Odeon Cinema located in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD).
Reports indicate that an Improvised Explosive Device was detonated by a suspected terrorist near Odeon.
The suspected terrorist is said to have pretended to have left behind their Identity Card when they detonated the IED injuring two people; trolley pusher and a newspaper vendor.
Speaking to the media, the trolley pusher said that he was paid to transport the explosives to Kenya Cinema.
He sustained injuries on his right arm and the vendor on his left leg.
They have since been rushed to the hospital.
Anti-terror police are already at the scene combing the area for explosives.
This comes days after the terror attack on Dusit D2 hotel in Nairobi’s Westlands area that left at least 21 dead and others nursing injuries.
Police have asked Kenyans to stay vigilant.
