Former Man-City midfielder Yaya Toure has completed a return to Olympiakos of Greece twelve years since he left the club for France’s Monaco.
The former Manchester City midfielder sealed the move and was presented to the fans Sunday in Olympiakos’ 5-0 win over PAS Giannina.
Toure was mobbed by fans who were delighted to see him back and the ex-Ivory Coast international was equally chuffed to return.
“It is an honour to be back and I am delighted to keep my word. I had offers from lots of clubs across Europe, Asia and the USA. I made my decision based on the special relationship I have with this incredible club,” the 35-year-old said.

Toure, who helped Olympiakos to a domestic double before moving to Monaco in 2006 and later to Barcelona and Man City in 2007 and 2010 respectively, pledged to give his all.
“I am as hungry for success now as I was when I first arrived here many years agao and I cannot wait to help the club win the trophies the great fans of Olympiakos deserve.
“It is time to let my football do the talking once again.”
Toure was a free agent having finished his illustrious stint with Man City which saw him win three Premier League titles.
