A lady in Riruta is crying for justice after she was attacked by her ex-boyfriend on January 8, who later left with their four-year old son to an unknown place.
According to Allan Dan Ayuo, who had employed the lady as a part-time house-help, she went to Riruta Satellite Police Station to file a report.
At the police station, she was told she cannot be assisted unless she gets two witnesses, who she does not have. She was only with her son in her house during the 7pm incidence.
“She is asked to return the next morning, with witnesses despite informing the two officers (on duty) that she does not have any. Meanwhile, no report of the battery or ‘taking’ of the son is noted,” narrates Ayuo.

On the following day, she returned to Riruta Satellite Police Station with a doctor’s report and medication from Nairobi Womens Hospital.
“A P3 form was sold to her, then it is half filled out. She is then told that the OCS is not available to stamp. Asked to return on Monday,” adds Ayuo.
Up to the time of going to press, the police in Riruta Satellite Police Station had not filed an assault report or even taken any steps to trace the child or find out whether he is safe.
