Ellen Degeneres Trolled Over ‘Poverty Porn’ Picture During African Trip

American comedian Ellen DeGeneres was attacked for posting  a picture that many likened to ‘poverty porn’.

Poverty porn has been defined as “any type of media, be it written, photographed or filmed, which exploits the poor condition in order to generate the necessary sympathy.

Twitter users attacked her saying that she took the picture to portray Africa as a poor continent. They attacked her saying that she would have taken the pictures at lavish neighborhoods in Africa.
