Thirdway Alliance party presidential candidate, Ekuru Aukot is not opposed to the inclusion of other presidential candidates on the ballot, the candidate has said.
Speaking on Saturday, Aukot noted that he made the decision for the sake of the country.
He also noted that he was contented with the IEBC’s state of preparedness for the October 26 polls.
The lawyer also said that the elections would go on with or without NASA’s Raila Odinga.
”The fresh elections cannot be predicated on the decision of one candidate. If one candidate chooses to withdraw, Kenya cannot come to a standstill,” Ekuru said.
The IEBC following Justice Mativo’s ruling, included all the August presidential candidates but locked out Cyrus Jirongo after he was declared bankrupt.
The commission has insisted that the polls will go on as scheduled.
