New reports found by investigators led by DCI Boss George Kinoti reveal shocking details of how the National Youth Service (NYS) scandal that lost billions to ghost firms in the 9 billion shillings saga.
Companies that have been honestly supplying goods to NYS are crying foul because they are yet to receive their payments yet companies that have supplied completely nothing or very few goods received millions.

The reports reveal that one company was paid 20 million shillings for supplying only 200 towels. Meaning that one towel was selling for 100,000 shillings. Another company is said to have received 40 million shillings for supplying 3000 blankets and another one paid 100 million for supplying 100 vehicle tyres.
It is also revealed that motor graders spare parts were supplied at 200 million shillings and mosquito nets at 20 million shillings.
These companies do not have physical addresses and some of the account holders questioned reveal that they were used by NYS to create accounts so as to fleece money. Some even revealed that they are not suppliers and they do not know how to tender.
In case example of Ann Wambere Wanjiku who was paid 59 millions shillings for supplying nothing to NYS. She is clueless on why she received the payments yet she personally filled invoices.
