There was drama outside the Yaya Centre after traders set tyres on fire, barricaded roads after ‘Kanju’ askaris demolished what has been their source of livelihood.
The Thursday morning incident caused a traffic snarl up with motorists advised to use alternative routes.
Word has it that the county officers took down the kiosks at night and without notice.

Police took control of the situation, and dispersed the irked traders.
Kiambu youths on Monday demonstrated against Governor Ferdinand Waititu’s move to take down kiosks near a public toilet.
The rowdy youths accused the governor of sabotaging their sources of income while some felt that it was an attack at Kahawa Wendani MCA, Cyrus Omondi.
