The office of the Director of Public prosecution through deputy DPP Nicholas Mutuku has asked the DCI Ndegwa Muhoro to investigate the shooting  and hit and run against NASA supporters during the Monday demonstration.

The letter in part stated ‘This is therefore to direct that you cause thorough and speedy investigation into the incidents and forward the resultant inquiry file to the DPP for perusal and direction’

The Office of the DPP said that it received reports that one of the demonstrators was shot while three were run over by a speeding vehicle. The demonstrator who was shot was taken to Kenyatta hospital but under police protection.

The police however allege that the demonstrators were trying to steal from a pedestrian, they said that the man had ignored orders from the police to surrender.
