The Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji has ordered for the arrest and prosecution of Evans Masaku Kasyoka, the ICEA Manager accused of killing his nephew in order to get insurance proceeds.
In a tweet sent through the DPP account and copied to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), the DPP directed that immediate legal steps be taken to ensure justice is done.
“The DPP attention has been drawn to a news feature appearing on Citizen Tv prime time news in regard to the Kangundo incident. Due to the nature of the case, the DPP has directed that immediate legal steps be taken to ensure justice is done,” tweeted the DPP.

Haji further warned that legal action would be taken against officers who would be found to have obstructed justice to Makau Musyoka, the boy allegedly killed by his uncle.
“DPP further wishes to inform the public that obstruction of due process is serious criminal offence and any person who will be found culpable shall face full force of the law,” added Haji.
In the story, the DCI in Kangundo were largely implicated for letting the suspect loose, saying the evidence files had been lost.
