A senior principal administrative officer in the office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) has been arrested for misappropriation of fuel consumption worth Sh7.9 million.
William Ashael Osoro while appearing before chief magistrate Lawrence Mugambi of the Anti-Corruption Court denied the charges of stealing and abuse of office.
Osoro was released on a Sh1.5 million bond or Sh600,000 bail and was asked to deposit his passport in court.
He has also been denied access into the DPP offices unless with Noordin Haji’s authorization.
The case will be mentioned on September 14.

On Friday, Haji said that an “audit report revealed that the mismanagement of the fuel consumption was through the National Oil Corporation.”
The DCI in the report that there was indeed misappropriation of public funds through mismanagement of fuel consumption.
