Deputy president William Ruto has said that the government plans on merging three state corporations.
The corporations include the Agricultural Finance Corporation (AFC), National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) and the Agricultural Development Corporation (ADC).
He said that merging the three corporations would increase efficiency and reduce the overlap in duties.

“I don’t see why we should not merge the three because it will increase efficiency, resolve overlaps and make better use of resources,” said the deputy president,
Officials from the three corporations will be in charge of the merger alongside treasury and the office if the vice president.
The members of the task force have been asked to come up with recommendations within 90 days.
