Abduba Dida, a Presidential candidate in the August 8 election has said he will back NASA Principal Raila Odinga in the fresh polls ordered by the Supreme Court judges on Friday.
The Alliance for Real Change (ARC) party leader emphasized that Odinga would beat President Uhuru Kenyatta should the elections be free, fair and credible.
In a statement, Dida said that he would not contest in the fresh polls. He added that Kenyatta would be a one term President and his opponent meant well for the country.
“From Uhuru Kenyatta’s reactions after the Supreme Court ruling, even a class one kid will tell you that Raila Odinga will win the election in November if the election is free and fair. Uhuru knows very well that he is a one-term president. I will not contest, I’ll support Raila Odinga, he means well for this great nation,” he said.
The President on Saturday while addressing the Jubilee elected Governors and MCAs said the Judiciary has a problem that he vowed to address after the ballot.
Mr Kenyatta referred to the Maraga four as ‘wakora.’
The Chief Justice together with Justice Smokin Wanjala, Isaac Lenaola and Philomena Mwilu overturned Uhuru’s win terming it as ‘null and void.’
Dissenting to the ruling were Justice JB Ka’jwang and Njoki Ndung’u who said the election was free, fair and credible.
