Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has said that both him and the president have declared war on corrupt government officials

Speaking at the 5th Annual Devolution conference in Kakamega the NASA leader said that the handshake was premised on peace building and the fight against corruption. He said that soon the corrupt government officials will be left on their own.

He has said that the governors should stop hiring on ethnic grounds and allow technocrats to assist the devolution process. He also said that they should find good advisors to as to ensure that projects are implemented accordingly.

He also said that the tension between county government functions and National government functions should stop as the counties should focus on projects and service delivery and work cohesively with the National government.

Raila Odinga asked to give a keynote address to the governors after the historical handshake between him and president Uhuru Kenyatta
