The DCI and the Inspector General of Police, Joseph Boinnet have been ordered to produce lawyer Miguna Miguna in court at 2pm on Monday.
Judge Luka Kimaru ordered that the two should present the accused or show why they should not be held for contempt of court.
High Court judge, Dennis Wakiaga on Friday ordered for the immediate release of the NRM general, setting the bail at Sh50,000.
The general remained in custody over the weekend, was moved from Githunguri Police Station to Uplands police station and then to Lari Police station.
Miguna’s health, according to his lawyers, Edwin Sifuna and Nelson Havi deteriorated over the weekend. He suffered an asthma attack but was denied access to a doctor.
“We are concerned because Miguna is not in good health and police have refused him to access his doctor and lawyer,” Havi said.

“It is true. We received information that Miguna has suffered an Asthma attack. I have with me an inhaler but the OSC has become hostile. He won’t let me see my client to give him the medication,” Sifuna said on Twitter.
Miguna was arrested at his Runda on Friday morning after officers allegedly ‘bombed’ into his home.
