The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) haS started the demolition of the Westlands Curio Shops opposite the Sarit Center in order to pave way for the expansion of the Lower Kabete and Peponi Roads.
Nairobi county government had stated that the curio triangle market was built on a road reserve.
The demolition started on Thursday morning in order to pave way for roads that will reduce traffic and give Residents an easy and stress-free time navigating the city.

The curio stall owners are set to be moved to City Park market and others relocated to the Westlands main market.
Some residents are not happy with the demolition since the market was a significant structure to Westlands.
