Foreign Affairs CS Amina Mohamed has threatened to sue Nation Media’s; Business Daily and Daily Nation for defamation.
The CS through her lawyer, Donald Kipkorir wants the dailies to apologize both in print and online for their ‘KICC Gave Sh1.4 billion tenders to fake firms’ articles that used the CS’s picture.
The pictures, Kipkorir said was understood to mean that Amina was the CEO mentioned, was involved in the ‘alleged fraudulent and fake tenders, guilty of fraudulent transactions and unjust enrichment, she does not understand her role as a Cabinet Secretary and is corrupt.’
If the dailies do not issue the apology by tomorrow (Tuesday), the CS will ‘proceed to file suit seeking punitive, exemplary and compensatory damages and costs.’
