Court of Appeal Nullifies Election Of Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua

The court of appeal has nullified the the election of Machakos governor Alfred Mutua. The appeal was put forward by Wiper Wavinya Ndeti who claimed that the governor was mot validly elected.

The court ordered that the IEBC conducts a by election in accordance with the constitution. Alfred Mutua has said that they will move to the supreme court as the judges left issues hanging.

The High court had upheld the election of Alfred Mutua, a petition that was filed by former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti.

Alfred Mutua has said that he is still the governor of Machakos and declared that he will still be in the presidential ballot paper in 2022.

Wavinya Ndeti who was jubilated was thankful saying that the truth has finally come out. He asked governor Mutua to swllow the ruling just as she did. She has challenged Mutua to go back to the ground to find out who the real governor is.
