Okiya Omtatah has obtained a temporary injunction from the High court to bar the the IEBC from declaring Uhuru Kenyatta as president.The application had been certified as urgent
The court injunction read as follows,
‘Pending the hearing and determination of this application and /or petition herein the Honorable Court be pleased to issue a temporary order of injunction restraining the 1st and 2nd respondents, its agents servants or any person claiming to act under its authority from proceeding to announce president Uhuru Kenyatta as the President elect following the withdrwal of the presidential and the deputy presidential candidates representing the National Super Alliance’
The order also stated that the applicant had established a prima facie case and that the respondents would not suffer prejudice if the order were granted.
