Kisumu Town pastor Nathan Ondego however said that the church should not be used to solicit money and that the church leadership should not be used for selfish personal reasons.
Pastor Ondego said that his view might have him ex communicated from the church but he said he would not let the church be run as personal property.
The deputy president presented the cheque of Ksh.10 million to about 6500 pastors in a forum and said it was an honor from the president.
The church leaders have been extremely divided on the issue with some of them saying the leaders turned a spiritual forum into a political rally.
