Nairobi County Women Representative Esther Passaris has urged Independent Electoral & Boundaries Commission Chairman Mr Wafula Chebukati to remain firm while discharging his electoral duties.
According to Ms Passaris, the commission chair should not be intimated by political pressure experienced in the country. “Chebukati should not be scared by anyone. Instead, he should discharge his duties confidently based on constitution mandate that allows him to,” she said.
She argued that those who are criticisizing him, will inturn point fingers at him and blame for incredible presidential results.
“All we want is fair, credible and transparent election,” she added.

This came a day after IEBC announced that fresh presidential election’s repeat will be conducted on October 26th, 2017.
Passaris was elected to serve a 5-year term as Nairobi Women Rep. on an ODM ticket, party lead by Honorable Odinga.
She was speaking on Friday, during an interview with a local tv station.
