The rather peaceful demonstrations turned ugly after Jubilee supporters attacked the protesters, tearing up their placards.
Kirimari MCA Morris Nyaga and his colleague from Ruguru Ngandori Sammy Muturi are said to have interrupted the demos and instead asked the opposition leadership to face President Uhuru Kenyatta in the repeat election.
The opposition supporters led by Moses Wamuru maintained that they would relent in their fight for justice.
There were protests in Kisumu, Kakamega, Nairobi, Siaya and Mombasa.
The protests will be held on Mondays and Fridays in a bid to drive out of office IEBC officials believed to have bungled the August 8 presidential election.
