Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati Condemns Killing Of Protesters In The County

Governor Wycliffe Wangamati has condemned the killing of the young man ,Barasa who was killed by the police in protests earlier today. He said that the people of Bungoma county heeded to the call of the NASA principals and stayed at home.

He said that the area was a NASA zone contrary to what the defected NASA members had said that it was a 50/50 area.

Wangamati called for peace so that the county’s normalcy may be restored.

He urged the police not use force when dealing with the protesters and to act in a humane number.

The governor reassured investors that their businesses will be protected during this time and that they welcome investors into the county.

The Bungoma semnator and NASA co principle Moses Wetangula also condemned the killings and has reported and made a statement with regards to the killings .The resident presented him with cartridges an indication that live bullets were used in the protests

NASA leaders have called on their supporters to stay at home in order to to avoid being killed, NASA says that the death toll in their strongholds has reached 70.

The county commissioner has denied claims that police have killed any one in Bungoma during the riots.
