Kampala University has disowned Wajir Governor Mohamed Abdi Mahamud stating that he was not in the list of graduands in 2012 as he had earlier stated.
The University also stated that the governor had never been admitted in to the institution.The Registrar Mr. John Onyango Orinda said that the Governor was not among the 196 students who were admitted at the university in 2009.
The Registrar stated that it was impossible for the governor to go for a Masters Degree yet he had achieved a second class lower Division grade without the two year work experience as that is not a common practice in Kenya or Uganda.
The Supreme court admitted the documents presented by Kampala University. The Wajir Governor had moved to the Supreme court to challenge the decision of the High court which had said that his election was null and void.
On his part Governor Mohamed Abdi, the governor said that he should be allowed to present his academic certificates as he had nt been given an opportunity in the High court and the court of Appeal.

The former Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi challenged his election citing lack of academic qualifications . The High court agreed with the petitioner and nullified Abdi’s election, The court of Appeal upheld the High court Decision.
