Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi Released On Sh 1.3 Million Cash Bail


Controversial Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi has been released on a cash bail  of Sh. 1.3 million. He was given a bond option of Sh. 2 million.

The blogger will have to pay one million for the charge of ethnic contempt. He was accused of stiring up hatred against the Kikuyu community contrary to section 62(1) of the NCIC Act.

The court said that Nyakundi was to add another Sh. 300 000 for the rest of the charges.

He was arrested and detained at Muthaiga police station and charge with using his social media pages to publish obscene and alarming information.

The controversial blogger has maintained that he did not do anything wrong but honored summons to appear at the DCI.
