Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi Arrested For Insulting Governor Sonko On Social Media

Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi is being held at Muthaiga Police Station on allegations he abused Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on social media.

The blogger had been summoned by the Directorate of Criminal Investigation over several complaints from Kenya Power and NCIC and was later arrested on the charges of insulting Governor Mike Sonko on social media.

Nyakundi has been denied bond and is set to face multiple charges. A source reveals that officers in charge says they are acting on orders from above.

He confirmed that he has been arrested and has listed the people that requested for his arrest.

He said that people have been barred from visiting him at the Muthaiga police station. He said that he did not do anything wrong but was just complying to summons.
