A Mombasa-bound Kenya Airways plane was forced to make an emergency landing on Friday morning shortly after take-off.
Reports indicate the KQ604 plane had just taken off from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) when it encountered a bird strike.
The bird strike reportedly caused an engine glitch forcing the pilot to return back to the airport.
No casualties were reported during the incident.
The plane which took off at 10:11am was expected to land in Mombasa at 10:56am.

According to Sky Brary, flight safety platform, a bird strike – collision between a bird and an aircraft on flight – is common and can be a significant threat to aircraft safety.
