Babu Owino Calls For Nationwide Protests After Death Of Meru University Student Leader

Embakasi East member of parliament Babu Owino has called on university students across the nation to come out and protest the murder of Meru university student Evans Njoroge.

All comrades should come out and seek justice /mourn on the streets for the fallen hero(Njoroge) from Meru university RIP comrade,” Babu said.

According to blogger Cyprian Nyakundi the policeman who shot the student leader is stationed at Nchiru police station that is near the university. The residents of the area have said that they can identify him for his arrest and prosecution.

Babu Owino still hold a pulling towards students as a former president of the Kenya universities student organizations (KUSO)

Evans Njoroge was allegedly shot by police at close range following unrest in the school about the hike in fees  at the university.
