The son of Ikolomani MP Bernard Shinali’s son has died while trying to rescue a girl who was drowning. According to reports by K24, Ademah, 35, reaching the lady from a swimming pool. Kibra MP Ken Okoth has died. The legislator passed on at Nairobi Hospital where he was admitted last night. Okoth, the family says was on life support as his condition worsened.He was diagnosed with stage four colorectal cancer with metastases to the liver. For over a year, the MP was being treated for ulcers and bacterial infections, and at times being given stress management pills. By the time he was diagnosed, the cancer had grown to stage four. The government has extended the deadline for Kenyans to renew their passport s to March of 2020. President Kenyatta also directed  the interior CS Fred Matiang’i to liase with countries to allow issuance of visas on the current passport. Government spokenan Cyrus Ovuna made the statement urging Kenyans to take advantage of the extension to apply for the new passports. Legendary musician John Katana of ‘Them Mushrooms band’ has said that Kenyan artists and creatives should have been involved in Bey once’s album which featured artists from Nigeria and South Africa. The Kenya Railways has demolished the famous food kiosks of Lwang’ni Beach in Kisumu. Kiosk owner on Tuesday night were forced to rescue their property after Kenya Railways bulldozers moved in to clear the land and  to pave the way for expansion of the Kisumu Port ahead of its planned commissioning in August. The food kiosks are almost synonymous with Kisumu when tourists visit the lakeside city as the beach is famed for the Ugali and fish delicacy. The anti corruption court has ruled that treasury CS Henry Rotich and PS Kamau Thugge have been released on a cash bail of Sh. 15 million each.  They were both admitted to a bond of Sh 50 Million. They will be required to deposit their passports at the court within 48 hours. The two will also not be allowed at their offices without an investigating officer. Treasury CS Henry Rotich, his PS Kamau Thugge have all pleaded not guilty to the 15 charges leveled against them. Rotich and Thugge who have been charged with 28 other people for the loss of Sh 19 billion in the construction of the Arror and Kimwarer dams.
