KCB flanker has declared availability for the next two legs of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Circuit in Hong Kong and Singapore next month.

Andrew Amonde is among the Shujaa leading lights who have stayed out of the national 7s team since last season over pay dispute.

His availability comes after the union sent a statement a fortnight ago saying that they had agreed on a return to work formula with the senior players for the remaining part of the season .

Other senior players who haven’t played this season include Kenya’s top try scorer Collins Injera, Willy Ambaka, Dennis Ombachi, Samuel Oliech, Dan Sikuta, Brian Tanga and Nelson Oyoo.

Head coach Paul ‘Pau’ Murunga said that all the players will be given equal opportunity.

Amonde’s pending return coincides with the recent election of Oduor Gangla as the new KRU chief in last week’s polls succeeding Richard Omwela.
