The ministry of Foreign Affairs CS Amina Mohamed has suspended ties with international NGO which funds the judiciary, through a letter, the Cabinet Secretary said that the government had suspended the agreement between them and the International development law organization (IDLO).
The international organization is said to have influenced the decisions of the supreme court to nullify the presidential elections as they funded the researchers who worked for the supreme court judges. The letter was copied to the attorney general Githu Muigai and the director of immigration,Gordon Kihalangwa.
The Chief registrar of the supreme court however rubbished claims that the judiciary was being dominated by non state actors and clarified that IDLO were just donors.
Amina Mohamed is also said to have called for a meeting with the fourteen countries that host the organization saying that Kenya had acquired information on it.
The IDLO had signed a host agreement with Kenya in December 2016.
