Machakos Gubenatorial candidate, Wavinya Ndeti has rejected the preliminary results saying that the incumbent stole her votes. She claims that she has evidence of rigging on the ground.
She said that she had already written to IEBC rejecting the results.
Wavinya said that in some constituencies the number of ballot papers cast was more than the registered voters.
Her Running Mate Peter Mathuki said he did not understand where the results being announced by the commission were coming from.
The IEBC results showed that the incumbent, Dr Alfred Mutua was leading with 235700 against Wavinya’s 196955 votes.
