AFC Leopards eased past hapless Kenya Police FC 4-1 at the Bhukungu Stadium, Kakamega to reach the semi-finals of the Sportpesa Shield on Saturday.

In the other quarter-finals match of the day at the same venue, Ulinzi Stars cruised past Riverplate by the same margin.

More round of eight matches at the Machakos’ Kenyatta Sunday will see Sofapaka face Tusker FC and Gor Mahia take on last year’s runners-up Kariobangi Sharks.

Leopards who are the defending champions, will face the winner between Sofapaka and Tusker in the semis.

Ulinzi Stars on the other hand will know their round of four opponents between ten-time champions Gor Mahia and Sharks.

The Shield winner will pocket a paltry Ksh.2million and get a ticket to represent Kenya in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.

Holders Leopards failed to make a mark in the continental showpiece after losing to FOSA Juniors of Madagascar in the preliminaries.

Kenya however had a representative in the group phase of the tournament after Gor Mahia reached the lucrative stage after dropping from the CAF Champions League.
