AFC Leopards have declined to replay their game against Sony Sugar due to absence of a fully equipped ambulance.
The Kenyan Premier League match was rescheduled for today, starting 10.00am after it was rained off on Sunday at the Green Stadium, Awendo.
But Leopards, who were leading by Whyvonne Isuza’s goal at the time of abandonment declined to take to the field over missing defibrillator in the ambulance which Sony provided.
Following deliberations involving the match officials, Leopards finally agreed to play but not after signing a protest letter, but again they declined to kick the ball, walking off the field indefinitely.
According to regulations a match abandoned due to a natural cause like rain starts a fresh.
