Civil Society Organizations led an Anti graft protest march from freedom corner in Uhuru Park to Parliament today to present the graft petition to the members of parliament before heading to the President’s office at Harambee House in a bid to end the many cases of corruption that have been seen recently.

The team led by Activist Mildred Atieno Owiso presented their petition to Mvita MP Abdulswamad Sharrif Nassir and demanded the resignation of all public officers accused of corruption since 2013.

They rejected the appointment of Francis Muthaura as the KRA Chairman, denounced appointment of retired leaders and called for President Uhuru to reshuffle the Cabinet.

The group asked that all public officers should declare their wealth held directly or indirectly before being appointed to public office because the government has become an employer of choice for thieves and criminals.

They have proceeded to Harambee house in the central business district awaiting President Uhuru Kenyatta to arrive and promised to hold demonstrations every Thursday until action is taken against corruption perpetrators.
