Bank Accounts Belonging to Rosemary Odinga’s NGO Frozen by NGO Coordination Board

A non-governmental organisation belonging to Rosemary Odinga has had its accounts frozen by the NGOs coordination board after more than Ksh 530 million was transferred to the NGO’s accounts from abroad.

According to the NGO coordination boardKey Empowerment Foundation Kenya has received Ksh 530 million the George Soros foundation without proper declarations.

According to NGO Coordination boss Fazul Mohamed, the transfer is against NGO Coordination Act 1990 and regulations 1992.

The board claims that the foundation is operating “many illegal bank accounts” while also receiving money to fund political activities and effect regime change in the country.

Rosemary Odinga is the eldest daughter of NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga. She runs various communities initiatives around Kibera and Langata estates.
