Ababu Petitions DPP To Investigate Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay Governors For Threatening To Stop Elections

Former Budalangi MP, Ababu Namwamba on Tuesday submitted a petition to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Keriako Tobiko asking him to probe Siaya, Kisumu and Homabay county governors.

Namwamba says that Cornel Rasanga (Siaya), Prof Anyang Nyong’o (Kisumu) and Cyprian Awiti (Homabay) made utterances threatening the peoples right to vote.

The three county bosses have maintained that there will be no elections in the NASA strongholds.

In Ugenya, Siaya, ODM leaders said they will not allow ballot boxes in their respective areas. Led by Darlington Mduda, said that they would have their supporters make sure that election materials do not get to the polling stations.

“All party leaders and delegates from Ugenya have reached a compromise to ensure our supporters do not allow IEBC boxes into polling centers,” he said.

In Kisumu, an IEBC officials training was disrupted by the area senator, Fred Outa and former deputy governor, Ruth Odinga.
