Four people have been confirmed dead and several others injured after an accident occurred on Sunday morning at Marula area on the Nakuru-Naivasha Highway.
The 1am. accident involved a saloon car -Toyota Wish – heading to Naivasha from Nakuru and a climax bus travelling to Nairobi.
It’s reported that the driver of the Toyata wish was trying to overtake, causing a head-on collision with the on-coming bus.
Rift Valley traffic enforcement officer Ziro Arome, confirmed the incident, saying four of five occupants of the Toyota Wish died on the spot while one sustained serious injuries and was rushed to Naivasha Hospital for treatment.
Further, 64 occupants of the bus, sustained minor injuries.

The accident comes a week after another crash at Kamara area along Nakuru-Eldoret Highway claimed nine lives.
The accident involved a Greenline bus which was coming from Eldoret and a trailer which collided head on at Kamara area.
The National Transport Safety Authority (NTSA) has since suspended licence of the Greenline bus company.

NTSA director Francis Meja, said the suspension was necessitated by continuous violation of traffic rules.
The authority also permanently revoked a driving licence of a of a truck driver involved in an accident that claimed 8 lives at Chepsir, Nakuru-Kericho Highway.
According to the NTSA boss, the driver, Abdulle Ali Mohammed is a danger to all road users and should never be allowed to drive in Kenyan roads.
