Foresight Company switchboard operator Mildred Odira alighted from the taxi that on the morning of Tuesday, January 29 rushed her to the Uhai Neema Hospital, new evidence now shows.

According to the Nation, new CCTV footage shows the deceased got out of the cab as the driver, Davis Ochieng who is still a suspect in the case went through the gate and made a U turn.

Police communications director Charles Owino said the taxi driver will still be arraigned in court tomorrow as they are yet to receive results from the Government Chemist determining whether Odira was raped before her being murdered.

“The suspect will be arraigned tomorrow, but we are relying on the lab results which will help determine if he has a case to answer,” Owino is quoted by the daily.

Police are looking for the vehicle or motorcycle that she took when she left the hospital to Allsops. This is where her remains were found.

Her legs were fractured, cuts on her abdomen, cheek and forehead.

CCTV footage from the facility showed the driver thump his chest with a passenger in the back seat of his car.

The facility had also denied having attended to a patient with the deceased’s name.

Her brother, Carringtone Odira also informed the police of receiving death threats for apparently looking into his sister’s cause of death.
