Questions are being asked by residents of Mombasa after it emerged that Mombasa County Governor Ali Hassan Joho frequently visits an Indian physiotherapist.

The dalliances between Governor Joho and Indian physiotherapist Dr Ammar Hassanali is raising questions as to what is really ailing the county boss.

Physiotherapists help people affected by injury, illness or disability through movement and exercise, manual therapy, education and advice. They maintain health for people of all ages, helping patients to manage pain and prevent disease.

Going by the doctor’s posts on Instagram, Joho has paid him a visit at least twice in the past week alone.

In the first post, the governor was at Dr Hassanali’s facility on Tuesday and again on Sunday.

Details on why the Sultan has been frequenting the doctor’s office remain scanty.

In February Joho was reportedly admitted in a Mombasa hospital, allegations his communications director Richard Chacha recanted.

Word had it that he was suffering from chikungunya, a disease found worldwide, particularly in Africa, Asia and India.

Chacha, in a statement to the newsrooms said that Joho was in optimum health and if he was seen in a health facility, he was probably visiting someone.

“He is up and about attending to official duties as usual,” he said.
