AFC Leopards rallied to brush aside Ulinzi Stars 2-1 in a preseason friendly at Hope Centre Kawangware early morning Saturday.

Isaac Kipyegon, who recently joined the den from Zoo FC, grabbed a brace, scoring in each half to seal the morale boosting win.

Leopards’ new coach Nikola Kavazovic missed the game with a reported flu with his assistant Tom Juma overseeing the proceedings from the touchline.

Earlier there were reports that the Serbian had fallen out with the club’s management over unspecified matter.

Nikola, formerly of Botswana’s Township Rollers, was unveiled as Ingwe’s coach early last month, taking over from Argentine Rodolfo Zapata.

The Serbian has been mandated to end Leopards’ 21-year wait for a Kenyan Premier League title and has been busy preparing the team for new season kick-off next week.

The team has played other friendlies, winning 2-0 against KPL newbies KCB and Posta Rangers 2-1 and drawing 1-1 against National Super League side Wazito.
