Rayon Sports coach Roberto Oliveira Goncalves do Carmo aka Robertinho is the most likely candidate to replace Dylan Kerr at Gor Mahia, Kahawa Tungu sources reveal.
Gor dispatched the CEO Lordvick Aduda to to negotiate a deal with the Brazilian whose contract at the Kigali-based side is running out soon.
Aduda returned in the country Wednesday evening.
Robertinho, 58, is a former Brazilian international who played as a striker in his hey days for clubs like Flamingo, Palmeiras and Betafogo.
He succeeded Belgian Ivan Minneart at Rayon in June this year in a short contract which ends in December.
The coach is not new to Gor Mahia as he beat them 2-1 in the CAF Confederation Cup group stage match at the Kasarani Stadium in August.
Gor Mahia are without a head coach following departure of Englishman Dylan Kerr, who ditched the club last Thursday for greener pastures with South Africa’s Black Leopards.
The team is gearing up for next Wednesday’s CAF Champions League preliminary round first leg match against Nyasa Big Bullets at the Kasarani Stadium.
