10 Over 10 host Joey Muthengi formally broke the sad news to her fans last night as she hosted her last show alongside Willis Raburu.

In what was an emotional and fun night, in equal measure, Joey said her goodbyes to her colleagues at the Royal Media Services owned station.

Earlier reports indicated that she gave her superiors a week’s notice after they summoned her for disciplinary action.

It has been said that her deal with Betin, a competitor of RMS’ Shabiki was the cause of the abrupt resignation.

Raburu wished the TV anchor well, who he said is his friend outside the work place.

It is not yet clear what’s next for the presenter cum rapper.

In a lengthy post on social media, Joey noted that she is indeed “looking forward to the future. Trusting that the God I serve got there waaay before me and is now preparing my path to the next chapter.”
