Immediate former AFC Leopards coach Rodolfo Zapata is poised to take over as the new coach of Botswana champions Township Rollers.

The 52-year-old Argentine is expected in the country Sunday “if things go well” to put pen to paper, according to his agent.

“Yes if things go well he should be watching Rollers game on Sunday against BR Highlanders,” the agent told Killerspass Botswana.

Zapata was shown the door at the end of the 2018 Kenyan Premier League season for poor performance after less than a year in charge of Ingwe.

He joined the 12-time KPL winners mid this year from Botswana side Gaborone United.

Zapata is expected to take over from Serbian Nikola Kavazonic who resigned on 16th October.

Nikola, who joined in July 2017 made history by qualifying Rollers to the group stage of the CAF Champions League for the first time.
